Apophenic Realism

For over half a year I deeply immersed myself within banned “conspiracy theory” communities, aggregating media and having discussions with some of the most prominent conspiracy video creators — as well as downlinking 5G tower transmissions. The resultant Apophenic Realism is comprised of two audio studies and a short text of my reflections during this investigation. The shape of the project was determined by the various ways in which patterns and material relations “make sense” of our situatedness as our digital sphere is increasingly fragmented. It traces social and aesthetic lineages which have converged through the original online conspiracy: chemtrails.
